She serves on the board for both Sullivan County Imagination Library and United We Read, a subsidiary of United Way of Greater Kingsport, Tennessee.

Robin earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from The Pennsylvania State University, and both M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University.
