Kathy Daugherty
Kathy Daugherty is currently the Pre-K-2 Reading and Response to Intervention Coordinator for
Murfreesboro City Schools. She works daily with classroom teachers, instructional coaches and administrators to support the implementation of high quality instructional materials and has a focus on early literacy skills. She was previously district level RTI Specialist in Rutherford County Schools (1995-2020). She has taught Kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade and reading intervention.
Kathy attended the University of South Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree. She attended Washington State University and earned her Master of Arts (Reading Specialist) with a focus on early literacy acquisition. She has been a trainer for TNDOE for Core work and Sounds First/Early Literacy trainings since 2013.
