Dr. Matt Warford is the Associate Superintendent, Curriculum & Instruction, for Bastrop Independent School District. He previously served as the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for the Aldine Independent School District, a large urban district in Houston, TX with 67,000 enrolled students.

Dr. Warford has 17 years of experience in education and has served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and district leader.  Prior to joining Aldine ISD, he was the Director of Elementary Education for the Angleton Independent School District, where he was responsible for developing and implementing PK-5th grade curriculum, supporting campus leaders, and overseeing the teacher appraisal system. 

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, two Master’s degrees from the University of Houston-Victoria, and his Doctorate of Education from the University of Houston.
