Robin McClellan is the Director of Partnerships at Rivet Education. Previously, she served as Assistant Commissioner of Academics and Instructional Strategy for the Tennessee Department of Education. She also served as Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction for Sullivan County Schools in Blountville, Tennessee. In Sullivan County, she led the district as Pre-K Director, Teacher Leader Facilitator, and K-12 Library Media Services Supervisor. Previously, she was principal at Emmett Elementary for over nine years and taught first, second, and third grades for nine years.

Robin spearheaded the implementation of high quality curriculum across eleven elementary schools and considers this the pinnacle of her career. She has secured over 1.8 million dollars in grant funding for the district to narrow subgroup gaps, provide books for the low-resourced student population, offer summer reading camps, place Pre-K classrooms in seven schools and secure high quality ELA  curriculum for elementary and middle schools.

Robin has contributed to numerous publications, including Education Week, The Tennessee Teacher Leader Guidebooks (2014-2018),  The SCORE State of Education in Tennessee report (2014-2015), and The State Teacher Leadership Toolkit: Created By States, For States (2015). She serves on the board for both Sullivan County Imagination Library and United We Read, a subsidiary of United Way of Greater Kingsport, Tennessee.

Robin earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from The Pennsylvania State University, and both M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University.

In her free time, Robin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafting, and traveling.
