Yvette Blue

Yvette Blue is the Chief Executive Officer of The Acceleration Coach, LLC. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Learning Acceleration & Digital Learning for the Tennessee Department of Education. She also served as the Associate Superintendent of Accountability, Assessment, Curriculum, and Professional Learning at Haywood County Schools.

Before beginning her tenure as a school administrator, Yvette taught middle school ELA for thirteen years, then served as an assistant principal at East Side Elementary four years, assistant principal of Haywood High School for one year, and principal of Haywood Middle School for six years.

Yvette has served in various capacities with the TN Department of Education: co-presenter at the the Superintendents’ State Conference and LEAD conference on Developing Teacher Leadership, member of the Educator Advisory Council, panelist at the Partners in Education Conference (PIE) – Response to Instruction and Intervention, plenary panelist at the LEAD Conference – Leading in the Time of Change, and facilitator for TN Department of Education’s Integrated Leadership Courses (ILC). Most recently, Yvette was selected to serve on the state department’s Leader Preparation Working Group (LPWG). She has facilitated and co-facilitated more than one dozen professional learning sessions at the local, state, and national levels. Yvette is also a lifetime member of WestStar Leadership.
