Ben Zulauf
Ben Zulauf is the Director of Literacy and Social Studies in Cicero School District 99. In this role, he oversees the literacy and social studies programming, instruction, and professional development for the district. Prior to this position, he served in a variety of roles in education, including a fifth-grade classroom teacher, a district literacy coach, an ELA curriculum specialist, and an instructional coordinator. Outside of these responsibilities, Ben is the president-elect of The Reading League IL, is LETRS trained and completing his facilitator training, frequently presents at several local, state, and international conferences, and consults with school districts across the midwest.
Ben holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s of education in literacy from Judson University, an educational specialists degree in educational leadership from National Louis University, and a doctorate of education in literacy from Judson University.
