Kirsten Jennette

Dr. Kirsten Jennette is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Seaford School District in Seaford, DE. Dr. Jennette has a passion for reading and a strong belief in inclusion and maintaining high expectations for all learners. Dr. Jennette previously served as the principal of Blades Elementary School in Seaford. Under her leadership the school moved from Improvement status to later becoming named as the 2021 National ESEA Distinguished School for the state of Delaware. Dr. Jennette has experiences as a classroom teacher, new teacher mentor, and a school turn-around coach with the Coalition of Essential Schools. She has over 15 years of administration experience, working as a school administrator in both Maryland and Delaware.

Dr. Jennette was named the 2019 National Distinguished Principal for Delaware. Dr. Jennette received the 2019 Superstars in Education Award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. She holds an Ed.D. from Wilmington University and M.Ed and B.S. degrees from Salisbury University.
